Overall perpose of job

To provide a direct dealer interface for processing of warranty claims in the MG Motor warranty system, ensuring that the level of Service offered to the authorised repairer network and customers in the UK supports customer retention and satisfaction objectives of MG.

Main activities/tasks

-Management of all Warranty matters from authorised repairer network via Service Link system

-Examine and technically assess warranty claims which fall outside of acceptable MG policies / parameters.

-Refer claims that are deemed unacceptable to the dealer, negotiating / agreeing payment based on the response.

-Data input of warranty claims, claim amendments and adjustments in to the Warranty System.

-Ensure all warranty claim output is correctly dispatched to dealers including liaison with the Finance Department to ensure all Dealer payments are made correctly.

-Support Aftersales Field technical Engineer & Warranty Auditor on warranty performance audit

-Act as Key Business User (KBU) of warranty control IT system (Service Now and Service Link) and maintain liaison with IT dept for issues and improvement.

special requirements (tools and equipment used, external contacts etc.) 

-Attention to a fine level of detail in problem identification and recording

-Systems knowledge to operate the warranty process

-Mechanical knowledge and engineering Technical qualifications (ex dealership mechanic / Technician) Master qualified 

other features of job (shifts, travel, working conditions etc.)

-Able to travel at short notice within the UK

-To work away from home if required
