Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing and working as part of a tight-knit team, you will have the backing of experienced industry players and a strong global support network through parent company SAIC Motor, while also being given the autonomy to shape this role to fit your strengths and aspirations.
A growing portfolio of stylish models with extensive personalisation options, compelling finance offers and a straightforward yet flexible approach to doing business; MG will give you all the tools you need to apply your entrepreneurial mindset to growing the brand’s Fleet and Used car operations in line with the company’s ambitious expansion objectives.
Small and medium sized organisations in a wealth of sectors benefit from the MG Fleet offer, and you will take on the strategically important role of identifying creative ways to develop relationships with new and existing business users and fleet companies. As well as managing the MG database and hitting the phones, you will spend a large proportion of your time out on the road cultivating opportunities for future growth.
The MG Business fleet is yours to direct, ensuring that leads are qualified so resources can be allocated effectively to showcase vehicles at their best. A product advocate and brand ambassador, you will take customers on the journey with you as you demonstrate the benefits of buying into the MG brand.
When it comes to moving vehicles on, you will be given the flexibility to come up with the most appropriate solutions to ensure residual values are maximised and the dealer network is supported with good quality used stock.
A lynchpin between internal MG departments, our rapidly-growing dealer network and customers nationwide, you will have a real opportunity to shape the way in which the MG Fleet and Used car operations evolve over the coming years. To be successful in this role, you need to be a go-getter who is equally at home working as part of a team as setting out on your own. You will take an entrepreneurial approach to your work, continually coming up with fresh ideas and innovative ways of doing business, while being ever mindful of the overall corporate picture.
A people person, you will be able to inspire those around you to positively engage with the MG brand, communicating effectively through written, audio and face-to-face channels. Alongside demonstrating an ability to build long-term, loyal relationships, you will also need to be a reporting whizz, showcasing your achievements through weekly accounts of your performance against appointment, demonstration and order targets.
Comfortable working in a commission-based environment, you will have strong planning and control skills to ensure customers are responded to, leads are managed, databases are kept up to date and accurate quotations are delivered in a timely fashion. You will also need to be able to think on your feet, make decisions based on your experience and take a lateral approach to overcoming any obstacles. Effective negotiation skills are essential, as is an understanding of how the industry operates.
