Josh Cook, the current Jack Sears Trophy holder (award for the top rookie) will be competing in his second BTCC season in 2016.
The Bath-born racer began his career in karting, but soon found his way into production cars in the form of a Citroen Saxo in the SAXMAX series. His graduation from there took him into the BTCC under-card series, the Renault Clio Cup UK Championship. After three seasons, his final seeing him finish as runner-up, he took the natural progression into the BTCC.
His debut BTCC season in 2015 was a success as he claimed the Jack Sears Trophy and earned much praise along the way. His second-place in race two at Rockingham was the highlight of an impressive season.
Josh will be looking to build on his 2015 success with some solid performances in the MG6 in 2016.
