PLATO COMES 3RD IN BTCC 2013

The weekend saw MG came third in the 2013 British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch GP. MG driver, Jason Plato received a total of 380 points, a mere 10 points less than Gordon Sheddon (Honda) who came second and only 17 points less than Andrew Jordon (Pirtek) who came first. MG had more pole positions than anyone else and 50% of the races had front row lock out.

Jason's team mate, Sam Tordoff, came sixth overall with 286 points, which is an excellent result for his first year in the championship.

Jason Plato said:

"I wish I could have put in a better performance in race three, the conditions were difficult and we just couldn’t get the car working like it was in the first two races. I knew going into the race it was going to be tough. I’m still very pleased, we came into the weekend, got pole and then maximum scores in races one and two. Andrew is genuinely a very worthy champion, he’s driven fantastically well this year. I've known his team and his dad for a long time and seen them grow into a very good outfit. We’ve got a long winter ahead of us to try and improve the car – we really need to win it next year!"

MG KX Momentum racing team will be working hard over the winter months to come back bigger and better and gain back the championship title in 2014!
