Knockhill Pole For MG

The MG6 GT of Sam Tordoff will start tomorrow’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race at Knockhill from pole position.

The 25 year old was second fastest in Saturday’s qualifying session, 0.464 seconds behind the BMW of Colin Turkington who will suffer an eight place grid penatly for Sunday’s race.

The other MG of Jason Plato was seventh fastest and will start the first race from the third row.

At a circuit that was expected to be a tricky on for the Triple Eight run team, it comes as a pleasant surprise as MG look to reduce the gap in both the manufacturer's and team's championships.

Sunday's race day is live on ITV4 with race one beginning at 11:45, race two at 14:17 and the reverse grid race at 17:07. Don’t forget to check out Twitter and Facebook for updates.
