Top ten in Oulton Park qualifying for MG

Both MGs will start Sunday's first Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) race at Oulton Park in the top ten.

On a warm and sunny afternoon in Cheshire, Ashley Sutton led the timesheet for the MG Triple Eight Racing team with the seventh fastest time of the session and a lap time of 1:26.439. Meanwhile, Josh Cook will start Sunday's race in tenth after posting a best lap time of 1:26.643.

The MG pair had posted times that had them provisionally sitting fourth and fifth, but they weren't able to challenge for a place at the front of the grid as pole was taken by Colin Turkington's Subaru.
