Outstanding dealers crowned at MG’s Annual Dealer Conference
Second phase of MG’s Momentum & Growth mid-term plan targets 30,000 sales in 2020
Growth in 2020 underpinned by new models and network expansion

MG Motor UK, the UK’s fastest growing car manufacturer, revealed the second phase of its ambitious Momentum & Growth mid-term plan at its Annual Dealer Conference in London last week. Following the brand’s record-breaking sales performance in 2019, MG is targeting 2020 to be its most successful year to date. MG’s Annual Dealer Conference, held at the stunning Renaissance Hotel in St. Pancras, London, was also an opportunity to recognise the top-performing dealers across seven categories, representing the brand’s famous 7-year warranty.

With an upbeat focus on ambitious growth, MG forecasts a highly ambitious 130% growth in new car sales in 2020 to reach 30,000 by the end of the year. Key to the brand’s growth in 2020 will be the first full year of sales for its two newest cars, the All New MG HS C-SUV and the fully electric MG ZS EV. With a second fully electric car to be launched this year, MG’s dealers are geared-up for a busy and profitable year.

To support the launch of MG’s growing product portfolio, the brand has worked hard to expand its nationwide dealership network. After already reaching the milestone of 100 dealers in 2019, the brand will reach its target of 20 new dealers by the end of June 2020. What’s more, MG is raising standards across its entire dealership network to offer a consistently high level of sales and aftersales customer excellence across the UK.

The winner of MG’s prestigious Dealer of the Year for 2019 was Nathaniel Cars which operates from three locations in South Wales. Nathaniel Cars was chosen because of its exceptional contribution to MG’s sales figures and for providing customer service excellence in Aftersales. The complete list of winners on the night was:

• MG Sales Gold Award – Mackie Motors, Brechin
• MG Aftersales Gold Award – FG Barnes, Maidstone
