During the lifespan of a vehicle model, various changes can be made to interior trim, exterior cosmetics or system functions to ensure that it features cutting edge technology and remains attractive to potential buyers. MG ZS EV models manufactured after mid-June 2020, will have a newly developed 2nd generation of Comfort System Operation installed on the car. This is now available for customers who wish to benefit from these later updates on earlier build models.
Whilst all the below features involve software changes to key components on your vehicle, the updated software is not available to cars with 1st Generation software as ‘warranty upgrade’. MG’s warranty is there to cover the cost of repair or replacement of a failed part due to a manufacturing defect, and not for updates/upgrades, and will therefore be chargeable. Please speak to your MG dealer to find out associated charges for this update.

Yes. Wear and tear on your MG is caused by age as well as by mileage. It is important that you service your MG at regular intervals to ensure it's running as safely and efficiently as possible.

For MG TF vehicles produced after 2008, click here to contact MG directly. MG do not charge for this service. For MG or Rover Group vehicles produced before 2008, please contact www.mgrccservices.com for information. This is a chargeable service and MG Motor has no influence over this as it applies to a legacy product.
You can get key / radio and emergency access codes, subject to proof of ownership, from two authorised sources. Visit either www.xpart.com or www.mgrccservices.com. Both companies apply nominal charges for the provision of information and MG Motor has no influence over this as it applies to legacy product.

The MG brand is going through a period of great growth and our cars are now sold in more markets than ever before. However, MG Motor UK are only responsible for parts supply to UK franchised dealers. For other markets, you will need to contact the local importer or dealership.
Cars between circa 1990 and 2005: All new MG dealers have an arrangement with X Part Limited, the official supplier of spare parts for all MG and Rover Group cars. Alternatively, you can log on to www.xpart.com
Vehicles older than 1990: Parts for older vehicles may be available from X Part – www.xpart.com however, in many cases parts will not be available via this route.
