What is an Electric Car?

Electric cars, alternatively known as battery cars function differently to the traditional vehicle in one key way: electricity is used to drive the wheels instead of an internal combustion engine. The electricity is stored in rechargeable batteries that power the electric motor which is then used to turn the wheels. Compared to conventional cars, electric cars are quieter, have no exhaust emissions, and lower emissions overall.

What is a Hybrid Car?

A Hybrid car uses more than one means of propulsion. They are powered by an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, which uses energy stored in batteries. These batteries are charged through a combination of the internal combustion engine and regenerative braking. Hybrid cars consume less fuel and emit less CO2 than conventional vehicles.
